CITB Health and Safety Awareness

Our Health and Safety Awareness Course (HSA) is CITB accredited and delivered by our in-house qualified and experienced course instructors.

This one day health and safety course is designed to teach individuals the health and safety requirements when working on a construction site and highlight their responsibilities and legal duties.

Successfully completing a level 1 health and safety awareness course is a major step towards obtaining the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Green Labourer card which is a requirement for labourers/operatives on the vast majority of construction sites within the UK

Goldcross Training runs the HSA course frequently to meet the needs of its delegates. We understand that many individuals cannot afford to take time off during the week and for this reason you will find our one-day health and safety awareness course is delivered in a number of different ways:

During the week and at weekends
In a physical classroom with one of our tutors
Remotely via a virtual classroom with one of our tutors
As an E-Learning course equivalent (accredited by ETA)

New courses start weekly at one of our training centre’s throughout Central & South East England and we are able to provide for in-house courses at your organisations venue should that be preferable.

HSA Course Detail

The course highlights the potential hazards you will face when working on a construction site and provides the practical advice you will need to keep yourself and your colleagues safe.

This Health and Safety Awareness (HSA) Training Course forms part of the CITB Site Safety Plus scheme and is intended for individuals considering or already working in the construction industry.

Accreditation & Recognition

This HSA Training course is accredited by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and recognised by BUILDUK as meeting the required standard for all individuals working on BUILDUK sites.

On successful completion of this course you will recieve a certificate from the CITB that will be valid for 5 years. In order to remain certified however, you will need to retake the course before the certificate expiry date.

Course Pre-Requisites

The minimum entry requirement for the CITB Health and Safety Awarenes Course is a good understanding of spoken and written English. If you have any concerns in this area, please call us on 0203 633 5505.

Site Safety Plus Scheme

The Site Safety Plus (SSP) scheme provides the construction industry with a suite of courses aimed at health and safety awareness and career development in order to maintain a safe workforce.

SSP Course Design

The courses are designed to give everyone from senior managers to operatives the skills they need to progress through the industry. The starting point is a one-day Health and Safety Awareness (HSA) course, a qualification that underpins the issue of a CSCS Labourer Card, to the five-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
